Congress enacted the Clean Air Act which requires States to progressively reduce pollution through the use of renewable energy sources. One way to meet these standards is for developers to place solar panels on vacant land known as a "solar farm".
These panels then convert sunlight into energy to help supply the electric utility grid. A third-party company such as Think Energy manages the extra electricity produced and resells it to the utility companies. Utility companies then supply this additional energy to local communities known as "Community Solar".
* Customers who sign up for the program with us will receive a discount of up to 25% off of all of their electric utility bills for the next 20 years -- paid for by the State! Yes, you heard that right! It's free to enroll! It doesn't cost you anything to sign up. You can cancel at any time since there's no early termination fee. Customers will still receive their electric bill and energy from their local utility company with no hassle.
NOTE: Customers who sign up for Community Solar are placed on a waiting list until solar farm capacity becomes available. In some locations, the process is immediate; and in other locations the wait time may take more than one billing cycle.
As Independent Energy Advisors, we use "Think Energy" to subscribe our customers.
* Think Energy is currently in 11 States and growing fast!
